My Story

The beginning of everything.

I am Tom Chapman, and I have muscular dystrophy. I was born with this condition, but the symptoms only started to appear when I was seven years old. It wasn't until I was eight that the doctors figured out what I had.

As I grew, my condition worsened. I could no longer run, climb stairs, or lift heavy things. I remember my mother telling the doctors that I would fall on my own, as if someone had tripped me. The doctor would simply tell her to look at the floor, and I wouldn't fall anymore.

Overcoming & Focus.

Despite the difficulties, I adapted so as not to be completely dependent on others. After a long struggle, a private pediatrician in a small town diagnosed me with muscular dystrophy.

I went through a lot, including bullying at school, on the street, and in public places. My mother would ask if I was being bullied, and I always said no, so as not to worry her. I endured it all in silence.

In adulthood, I hoped all of this would pass, but that's not what happened. I learned to be strong and not to bow my head to anyone. That's how it was in college, where I graduated in Audiovisual and Cinema. I discovered my passion for photography and video editing. Being part of the media has been a dream of mine since I was fifteen.

Conclusion.

Today, I do live streams, and there are still people who laugh because of my condition, but they don't know how happy I am! Some people ask if I get any government benefits, but honestly, what I get are visits at home asking for votes!

What I earn comes from Live Pix donations, and when I was monetized on TikTok, but nowadays I'm not monetized anymore, maybe in the future.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. The emotional feeling of stress from the first attempt.
